Culinary Class

Welcome to Culinary class. You should have some food experience to participate in this class. You should have a desire to work with food, create foods, and investigate food topics. This class will cook often, however, this is a class that will also explore elements of the food service industry such as customer relations and Serv Safe certification.

Experience working in the food industry would be helpful, but not required.

Assignment #1. Watch the Food Network. Critique the show. What did they cook? Who was the chef? What did you notice about the food worked with, equipment used, preparation techniques, and plating the food on the show? One page maximum. 5-25 points possible.

Submit assignment to ltomlinson@avabears.net or in writing to the Culinary drawer in class.
